I am not sure any area within Florida or the Country for that matter would not be a bit jealous of the Space Coast right about now. Up to 1800 new jobs paying an average of $100,000 being relocated or pulling from our impressive available work force!
Here is part of an article by the Florida Today Newspaper:
"The first phase calls for the construction of a 216,000-square-foot building and creation of 300 jobs by the end of 2015. The second phase involves construction of an additional 500,000-square-foot building and an additional 1,500 jobs, “if the company is successful in obtaining the desired business objectives.”
Meanwhile Northrop Grumman Corp. plans to expand its operations at Melbourne’s airport with a major new building. Melbourne’s Planning and Zoning Board has a hearing scheduled Thursday for a 16-acre site plan — involving a three-story, 218,919-square-foot office building — in the heart of Northrop Grumman’s airport campus."
For a County of about 600,000 residents an influx of 1800 high paying jobs is not only a huge plus for the housing market...it is bound to cause shortages in some of our middle to upper price points.
